The Mandalorian is a space western television series produced by Jon Favreau for the Disney+ streaming service. It is the first live-action Star Wars series, set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983), and stars Pedro Pascal as the eponymous character, a lone bounty hunter on the run to safeguard the Force-sensitive toddler Grogu.
After her debut in the second season, Katee Sackhoff reprises her role as Mandalorian leader Bo-Katan Kryze in the third season.
The Mandalorian follows Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter in the galaxy’s outer reaches, five years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983) and the collapse of the Galactic Empire. He is recruited by leftover Imperial soldiers to rescue the newborn Grogu, but instead flees to safeguard the kid.
They are chased by Moff Gideon, who wants to harness Grogu’s connection to the Force to reunite him with his race. The two then journey to Mandalore in order for Din Djarin to atone for his offence of removing his helmet.
