Pavan Sadineni wrote and directed the 2023 Indian Telugu-language murder thriller series Dayaa. J. D. Chakravarthy plays the title character, and Eesha Rebba, Remya Nambeesan, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Kamal Kamaraju, and Josh Ravi play significant parts. The series premiered on Disney+Hotstar on August 4, 2023, to generally excellent reviews.
The show is an Indian translation of the Bangladeshi serial Taqdeer, which was produced by Neamoth Ullah Masum and Syed Ahmed Shawki, with Anuradha Raparla serving as content director.
The series’ premise centres around the story of Dayaa (J. D. Chakravarthy), a freezer van driver whose life is turned upside down after he discovers a dead corpse inside his van. A chain of tumultuous events ensues, putting Dayaa and his closest friend in even more trouble.
